as for the war, I'm against it all the way, because its a pointless war and just another example of how the us govt gets into shit that has nothing to do with them, but I respect the men and women for fighting there, its ultimately their decision so what the fuck can I say about it, it has nothing to do with me what they choose to do with their lives

i just think the us govt should be concerned with their own fuckin problems, instead of making more overseas
With you 100% man! :smokin:

I'm fucking glad we didn't roll over for Nazism. I wouldn't want to be forced to pledge allegience to the Swastika every morning.
maybe you haven't noticed... but we pledge allegience to the american flag alot.. how is this any diffrent? i had problems with god and with the govt. yet in school i was forced to pledge to that stupid flag..

you have a problem with your government? How about you do something about it, or fuck off
the govt. doesn't work for the right people... atleast around here... the people who have 100k dollar houses get college scholarships, the people who are barely able to make ends meet don't get the help... the lazy asses who don't want to get a job get food stamps (this isn't all the time but i've seen it happen) but the people working like hell trying to make it get shit, because they make a few extra dollars more then maximum limit to be a approved for food stamps.. which puts them in a bad spot, they can't quit their job to get on foodstamps cuz then they'd lose everything else (utilities, car, house, so on).... and maybe you haven't noticed this either, but people have tried to speak out against the govt. it doesn't work... the only people the govt listens to is the people in upper society, maybe once every blue moon they'll listen to someone from the middle society.... and if i ever saw them listen to and heed the words of the lower society i'd probably have a heart attack and shit my pants at the same time...

the way i feel i've seen said here before it went something like:
the govt. we know today is a failed idea
which i truely believe... it was a great idea at first.. but over time it just got more fucked up and more fucked up... but then again, what can you possibly expect from men who say the words "every man is created equal in gods eyes" yet own slaves (yes it's partly from a stand up comedy special, i do believe chris rock, but it's a good and valid point nonetheless)

A SUPER FUCKING WALMART!
he had them specifically instructed to shoot anyone trespassing.
and they had rows and rows and rows of canned goods, but they did not just give them away... noooo... they shipped them off to another walmart to salvage what was not damaged!
The national guard troops were not saving people, (i heard this directly from someone who was in the storm) they were going to guard stores from looters!
I feel yah on the lack of response to Katrina, but I also understand that there were tons of people looting and stealing from stores. Sure, they were hungry and cold or whatever, but you still can't take the law into your own hands. I think the problem was the lack of organization as far as clean-up and rebuilding went. It was all just a big mess, with no order at all, and no one to organize a system of getting things back to normal. I noticed that when our city was recently hit by a couple tornadoes. The next few days after the storms, our lovely mayor and governor ROD kept flying over the city observing the damage, then holding press conferences saying how bad the damage was. There was no one to organize clean up crews or help get food, clothes, or shelter to those who need it. I think it was the leader of a local outreach program called Contact Ministries that finally stepped up and called for those who wanted to volunteer to meet at a certain location. Just goes to show that it isn't really helping if you just fly over those affected instead of right there with them. Kind of ironic huh? The leaders of the city and state are flying overhead, while all the little people are just looking up and watching, waiting for help.

The governamnt is good in some ways and bad in some ways but nothing is perfect. Good thing is that we do actually need them to control us just a little bit because if there was no governmant it would be total anarchy and that is not a good thing there would be looting of stores raping of women and random killings in the streets the human race itself would become extinct in a matter of not time.
