carving my own pipe

nice pipes man what kinda wood hope its a hard wood though so the bowl dont char up and stuff i used to make wodden pipes long time ago they worked good till i got a real pipe bowl(metal) and then started making wood pipes thay would fit the bowl. and i used permant markers on mine then coverd it with some sorta polyurathane or something that dried quick(dident put it in the bowl dont worry) i like using the markers because you can still see the wood grain....

do you just have a hole in the wall of the bowl to suck smoke through? i made one like that and the hits were so weak, i just threw it out, then i made one with a hole in the bottom of the bowl and it worked perfectly, all i used was a drill and a sharp knife

nah i just drilled the smoke hole first then i made the bowl but you kinda gotta drill ona angle to get it right so the hole is in the bottom but usualy it will be in the side of the bowl but at the bottom if you know what i mean

What you need to do is geat a real hard wood and (fire it) with a torch and then sand off the black. It will have a cool loook and bring out the grain. Then you need to smoke about 100 bowls in it before you dont get that wood taste in your mouth. Make the mouth piece I.D. big enough to clean easy. Are you creating the bowl with a 45 degree chamfer?

I took a rectangle of wood like this [_______] and i hollowed out (with a drill) to [__----------}
then i hollowed out a bowl [ O------------]
and carved down to where i hollowed out [O]=====

See? all wood, no fillers, el naturale

the diameter of the mouthpiece is pretty good sized. a pipecleaner fits in easily, but snugly
i have 3 or 4 made so far. anyone that wants one, ill give it to them for free

(is it illegal to give it to you? they are legal tobacoo pipes, after all )
