I agree, it is a good policy. I lived in Shanghai for a while and can tell you that, even with the 1 child policy, there are way too many people in China. Think of your local shopping mall the day after Thanksgiving. That's what it is like everyday, everywhere.

Not just China, there are too many people in the world. Kudos for the Chinese for actually seeing that they had too many people and doing something about it. Despite what we think about their methods of enforcing this law, the idea itself is a good one. People are out buying Hybrid Cars and recycling because they think its the enviromentally friendly thing to do. Then they go and have 6 kids. LOL.
