As for me, I'd try to round up a small group of people, perhaps like 5 or 6, with at least one woman that is able to give birth, to continue life. I'd blow up gas stations, destroy buildings, clog irrigation systems, just go crazy. After about a month of this, if I'm still alive, I'd make my way out to bumblescum nebraska or somewhere without many people, make a farm,

It would appear you look forward to killing innocent people in the name of survival. Steal and destroy those things that can't help or hurt you. Defend property that you claim as your own from those who are just like you. Grow food and pretend you can protect that crop somehow with guns. Stockpile gasoline which goes bad with time. Live in fear of those you teamed up with knowing they are just like you, able to pop a cap in your ass while you sleep.

If you had an army tank loaded to the gills with fuel and ammo. A whole division of armed green berets. Enough canned goods to stay alive for years and a place capable of housing you and your soldiers. You still wouldn't survive a year. That scenario of total chaos is flawed from the start. You make too many assumptions that these things which you depend on to survive is something accessable after/during this period of "total chaos". You also assume you're the only few left capable of massing a formal attack. If you had all I described above, you still couldn't ward off an army of civilians armed with shovels. Granted you will be able to kill many, but just as castles were seized over time, it's just a matter of time till you get starved out, bombed from above (just as cars still operate, so do military planes), or simply overrun by overwhelming odds.

Is this somehow better than dying? Life ain't worth shit if you've got to live like that.
