SCRog question about not topping
I have a scrog setup for an individual plant. The screen is attached to the pot. I've done scrog before, but always with topping. Is there any real way to do a scrog without topping? I plan to take the main cola, once it is tall enough, and train it to one corner of the screen, then go around the perimeter of the screen as it grows, and of course train the intermediate growth into the center holes of the screen. Would this work? I know that after a certain amount of time training becomes difficult because the stems get stiff, and you have to do it while they are young. at what time does that happen? Should i try this approach or should I just FIM the thing like i've always done? I know the pros and cons and the only real con is that the plant has to heal once you top it. Is this a big enough con for me to consider not topping? thanks
