starting to show powder build-up on leaves
have some golf balls on tee's ,but its olny the start of the 5 week
don't want to flush too early
Question #1 : should I start my flush OR wait a little bit?

Question #2 The seeds came from the BC area, any Idea what strain this is ?

It appears that you are about half way through the bloom cycle. Don't give into the temptation of harvesting that before it's time. There's an old saying....."just when you think they are done, wait two weeks". I find that to be very accurate. It's amazing how much they will develop in the last weeks of flowering. Be patient.

There are many ways to help determine when it's time to flush. Some say that when half to 3/4 the hairs turn brown, it's time. Each strain has it's own characteristics and it's up to you to discover when the right time is for that plant. But consider this....you will not be shorted if you wait too long, you most definately WILL be shorted if you harvest too soon.

If u r a meticulous grower then u can flush at the beginning of the bloom with a gallon of water mixed with something like clearex. 90% run off. Then a week b4 harvest quit fertilizing and flush again until run off is clear. Leave alone. Pistil color is not the most effective way to tell if your plant is ready, personally I think it is a combo of things like the swelling of the pistils pods and color. But your plants still have time left....feed dem girls.

If you don't have a pocket microscope to view the trichomes, then I found an old schooltrick that will help you.
Flush a week after you see almost all the pistil's turned red and there is not much if any new pistil growth. Once pistil's stop growing...you're done.

trich's are the best way, but this will get you in the ballpark.

also, you can go to far!!! Once a plant is at it's optimum potency/maturity and the pistil's stop re-producing...The thc starts to deteriorate...i.e., once a trichome turns amber...It is on the down side, deteriorating.

Imho, It is better to Harvest on the early side for a more heady-up-high...All dark trich's mean 'couchlock/coughing reefer.

there are balls on the tee now
had some trouble in week 5 and 6 in past grows (shit set-up and boxes)
built a home made areo (now)
when there ready to flush u should see lots of balls on tee (right)
I can make out clear,cloudy an a little amber
I'm going to feed them ladies

most say 33% of each...you are almost ready then...If you want more up high flush next rez-change...If you want more medicinal high...wait another week or 2 monitoring trich's. Just remember the more trich's that turn dark, the more thc you are losing.

1# we are 5.8 weeks into flower, the cacts look 10% brown on most plants. but bud swelling has not been substantial, what should I do??(THEY LOOK more brown under the HPS light then real light)

2# when would you go to flush? we do not know this strains flowering length.

3# will buds still swell if we start flushing a little early?
