It is an American's duty as an American (yes Europeans this is about America, and you should in fact be glad about that) to vote and have an opinion on ALL issues otherwise democracy can't work correctly (I guess this is a contradiction because we're a republic, but anyways). Therefore, one should assume that if an American resident claimed to be patriotic, that person would have an opinion on topics like drugs, but assuming things can lead to trouble.
