Use olive oil instead of butter or vegetable oil it has hardly any saturated fat in it compared to those.

Get a big bag of rice, potatoes, I like fresh fruit and vegetables(kinda hard to start a healthy eating cycle without them) also a large selection of bread and cheese all reasonably priced and in bulk. It's 30-40 bucks to join but you will make that back in the first couple trips.
Lol at the Sam's club by my house they give out what seems to be and endless supply of food samples... you could problay get in a meal a day at Sam's club.
pabloescobar209 Reviewed by pabloescobar209 on . cheap healthy foods So I'm going to be living on my own for the first time next year (I go to college but I've been living with my parents), and I need some suggestions on the kinds of foods to buy. I'll be in an on-campus apartment with a fully-loaded :D kitchen :D -- meaning I'll have cupboard space, big fridge, stove, oven, and microwave. I really have no cooking skills whatsoever yet, but hopefully I will learn some stuff over the summer. I just made my first pot of spaghetti by myself actually -LOL- but Rating: 5
