Thanks alot for all of the suggestions. I just got back from his place----so stoned!! I didn't cough as much. I think it is just because I am new to smoking, i'll try the "water bong" with cupped hands. I'm sure we'll save up for a bong soon, but I just need to know what to do till then.

He says its because I hold my hit in too long, but I got so ripped today after holding my hit in longer than usual. Coughing a little then, but thats about it. Just breathe in and your high as a kite this time, lol.

ya when ur new to inhaling smoke it is gonna make you cough, but with time that "healthy" layer of tar will coat ur fresh pink lungs and will allow you to smoke with the best of em. Really tho i hate smoking but i love the high so i deal with it.

Yay for tar, lol. Not really, I hate smoking too and I love the high, so I deal with it too.
