also I see no reason why it should not last if all they want from each other is sex. It's not unheard of to carry on a sexual relationship without all that "gf-bf" stuff.

It gets hard man. When I lived in New Jersey, I had dated a girl I met in Alabama who was going to school in Texas. At first everything was cool. By that time, I landed a job with the company I'm with now so I had vacation and personal time and would fly down just about every other weekend. In between, we'd talk for hours on the phone. After a while, it got too expensive and we both needed that physical companionship on a steady basis. I had spent so much travelling that I wasn't ready to move and eventually, we broke it off.

It can work if you're seriously commited to each other but it is ALOT of work. More than marriage, and I'm happier now being married.

Who ever said that long distance relationships were a bad thing was either a chick or i unno but something. Their great. Im going out with this chick who lives like a 3 hrs away so I dont see her alot but here the kicker she comes down to see her dad for like a week every month and what do we do... we FUCK, hell ya. All the pussy, well maybe not all but a fair amount, and not alot of that gf-bf complications. She wants me to stop smoking pot cause its bad, she says, so i say ya sure dont do it for the week shes here than toke like theres no tommarow the night after.

imo you shouldn't be lying to her. even if it is a LDR i feel lying is wrong, if she can't accept you for the pot head you are, then fuck her 'not literally', but still... a relationship built on a lie, would be like building a 20 story building, that's foundation is consitant of one brick.. it will come down... tell her the truth about weed, don't just hide it like your some junky hiding your addiction... hiding shit will never get weed legalized, never.
