When should i take clones
they will stall a bit longer due to entering flower stage so plan on an added 10-14 days ( like 3 weeks or so total) to get them rooted and vegging again. also don't be alarmed if you start seeing odd leaf patterns (1 and 3 leaf grouping)...it's normal for regenerating plants. try to use the more green branches and not the 'bark-y' ones and shoot for getting as many former leaf sites as can into the cloning gel as roots have an easier time growing from a leaf site. use a sharp razer blade and try to keep things as clean as possible. root rot is the main prob and i've found clean cuts help with the percentages.
keep your light on at all times...18/6 minimum. i've found flouros work best for rooting clones and kept on top of the clear-topped rooting chamber. keep it humid but not so much around the base of the stem (root rot). it's a pain but if you can keep the misting more on top than on the sides there'll be less chance of fungus...
good luck...sorry if i added too much stuff...and there are other methods. this what works for me and they're always around 90-95% successful.
btw, the nubs you leave on the plant after taking the end off for cloning is worthless. trim it down to the trunk. if it's long enough you can make 2-3 clones off of one branch...they just need those leaf sites and not so much the tops/tips.
