How much do they smell? Lets say you have a few in your room. Is it gonna make a noticable odor?

You serious? Do you even smoke weed or did your friends just give you a few roaches? Ofcourse it will smell a bit, just toss them in a bag and hide them somewhere though and problem gone. A few roaches aren't going to make the whole room reek too much.

    saving roaches...

Here's a method of roach smoking/saving that I heard of many years ago. Some of my dealer friends used to do it in the early 70's.

Save the roaches in a glass mason jar, labeled "MING I". After you get a joint's worth of roach pot, roll it up and smoke it. Take that roach and put it in another jar labeled "MING II". Keep putting your second generation roaches in the II jar, and then repeat the process with these and save them up as third generation "MING III" roaches, and it can go on from there. It would be nearly impossible for any one person to progress much past MING VII or VIII, though.

...Why do you need to get a new jar each time?

So that you can differentiate among the various generations. Smoking a joint made of 2nd, 3rd or 4th generation roaches has more resin.

Only "big-time" smokers can really make this work. I never followed through with this system for very long - when a drought hits, you'll smoke up the saved roaches.

This subject has been covered before. One guy asked his friends to send their roaches to him in envelopes - and some did this for something like 10 or 15 years, even after he moved far away from them. It's a very funny story, and can probably be found from postings a year or two ago.
