FIMming a seedling?
That's not what my personal experience has shown me. I'm sorry if your own has shown differently, but like the point in the discussion I'm trying to make it really runs down to genetics and environmental conditioning.

The more I look at it the more I can comment. Some of the buds look like they're tipping a little close to the horizontally inclined side, though. Maybe they're supported somehow that I can't see in the picture?
Could be those strings you're talking about.
I don't know.
