I would give the branched air flow by spreading them open and tieing them down to the side of the pot, but I do not like scrog at all. Just my opinion
One love

What is Scrog anyways? I have two plants under 150 hps, soon will be a 400watt hps, and I want the inner parts of the 2 colas where the new flowers are forming to get more light. Should I just tie the colas to the pot to seperate them to produce better buds so they will be as good as the main colas?

I always prefer SCROG, it is by far the most efficient way to grow that i have found. Your plants are pretty big to be SCROGged correctly at this point. I would probably try the tie/pinching method for this set and on the next set of plants you may want to give the SCROG a try. It is fun to get huge wieght from a single plant. Nothing is cooler then a SCROG near completion when one plant has a pound on it.

Bachelor at what stage do you introduce the screen, I've heard alot of contradictory info on when is the best time, but all agree that once a good root system is established and the stem is resonably thick its ready to start with the screen. Some people start as low as 6inches and some people I've seen have capped growth at 12-15 inches. What is your personal preferance.

I like around 10 inches. Honestly, it doesn't matter how high or low it is, just make it so you will be able to comfortably reach under the screen. You will have to remove leaves and some smaller branches from under the canopy and if you give yourself a little room, it will make life easier.
