Question about buying Salvia in Head shops

I have never heard of this stuff till I came onto this board
I know that it is legal
I research it on Erowid
Even watched some videos of people smokin it

I walk into the best head shop in San Diego
In the biggest stoner town in San Diego

and I say "hello, do u carry salvia?
Clerk "Uh, we don't carry that shit here"
he says " Our stuff is only related to tobacco items"
Then he got kind of schetchy
and I ask "Do you know anyone that carries it"
and he kind of mumbled something and just walked away.
I just dropped it.
Figured I would just come here and ask

I know that this stuff is legal so I am wondering if you can
buy it in a headshop. Has anyone? In California?

i live in los angeles.
i get mine at venice beach boardwalk.
at the headshops they are too paranoid
about getting fined.the pussies.
most people dont like salvia anyways.the pussies.
if you keep looking you will find it or get some online.
