Teacher vs. Me in school today i got into a heated arugment for 1:30 minutes which is the whole period and the whole class got into the discussion as well all because i refused to stand up for the pledge of the allegence. Teacher- mike stand up. Mike- no, i dont have too. Teacher- mike everyone else is so you have too. Mike- no its my constututional right,. *pledge is over we all sit down* Teacher- Why did you refuse to stand up,. Mike- couple reasons i do not believe in god for one and i wasent Rating: 5

ummm, man you are really wrong on so many levels with that sentence LOL... beacons of light don't attack and bully other countries for no good reason... and rome was nowhere near a beacon of light so the entire sentence is false but w/e buddy think what you want.

and i am american if you were wondering. i can't believe you would actually say something like that and actually believe it... america is nowhere near a beacon of light and the world is nowhere near darkness... it's thinking like that that makes other countries HATE us... and i personally don't want to be hated by the rest of the world.

i just want to let all of you non-americans reading this know that WE ARE NOT ALL LIKE SBSKICO1 AND THESE OTHER IDIOTS!!! some of us enjoy using reason to make their arguments!

and america is not the only country with freedom of speech ... we may declare that we have it in our constitution but that doesn't mean other countries don't have it.

To say that the rest of the world hates is way off. sure the middle east hates us, but they hate everyone. you don't see german or french UN inspectors being let in anywhere. And the idea that europe hates us is absurd, we just need to get over all the mistrust leftover from the past(remember the balkans?)

Therefor, if enough people believe as you do(and THANK GOD they don't)the U.S. won't have the foreign policy you seem to hate so much. I think that's what bugs you so much, being in the minority.
If so many people hate the U.S. why are so many people trying to get here? If the U.S. is so bad, people would be trying to get out.
