Well, yes, Radical muslims are the main topic here. But, if you look at their scripture, there is a fine line between what Terrorists do and what Islam actually allows. Now, don't freak out. What I am saying is that in Islam, a lot of the Jihad verses are more about defending yourself, and encourages it in Allah's name. Take this verse for example

[2.194] The Sacred month for the sacred month and all sacred things are (under the law of) retaliation; whoever then acts aggressively against you, inflict injury on him according to the injury he has inflicted on you and be careful (of your duty) to Allah and know that Allah is with those who guard (against evil).

If the members of the Al-Qaeda honestly have it in their mind that the U.S. hurt the muslims then I don't see any reason not to declare a holy war, for retaliation is the clear goal of this verse. Essentially, it won't take much more fighting and violence in that area for more people to claim a "jihad" on thoes who harmed them. And I don't blame them, its IN the koran, commanded by Allah who in this religion is first priority. If I were muslim to tell you the truth I would probably be labled an "extremist" and it's clear that countries like Iran are trying to inflict the same damage recived (if not more). Such as denial of the holocaust, the Israelis slaughtered loads of palistinians and was not even mentioned. They are in turn, returing the favor. If you want to learn how they think, look at their point of view.
