Remember, in the Old Testament, it was commanded that homosexuals and prostitutes were to be put to death on the spot. Also, this god of the OT demands animal sacrifices for remission of sins, with Jesus being a human sacrifice!! In the OT, it is forbidden to have a human sacrifice to atone for sins. Allah of the Koran doesn't seem to care about animal sacrifices though. There is the same amount of violence between the Bible and the Koran. Remember how the OT god said to kill all of the women in children when the Israelites sacked Jerusalem? I thought this was the true God of love as so many profess to believe in, and he's commanding to kill children in his name?!

Remember that Jesus never stoned the prostitute in the Gospel when the Jews tested him. He had compassion for her and technically sinned because he went against the Law. We find now that the Law itself is just a guideline. Jesus was the Jewish Buddha, and probably there will arise among Islam a Master Teacher/future Buddha who will explain the true meaning of Islam.

The question you should be asking, is why Jesus DID NOT stone her when it is commanded in the Law to do so.
Jesus was pretty much the ultimate answer for all humans. Before Jesus came, there was no way for an unbeliever to be forgiven for his sins, besides sacrifice which they probably did not do. Jesus's purpose was to save, not to follow the law of the old covenant, which was done away with when Jesus came. In fact, the 10 commandments arn't even valid anymore. They would be good guidelines per so to a christian but they arn't the law of the current time. Much like laws of leviticus, violent ones that included death but such is the penalty for sin.

I would say that Jesus did not stone the woman because his way is the way of life, and through him she could be forgivin for being a prostitute, unlike thoes prostitutes who were in the past. Until Jesus came, christianity wasn't a stuggle to show people the way of life, but rather to keep the word of God in their group, until the messiah came.
