because my lighting has only a 11 inch width hood, and i was afraid it wouldnt be able to cover everything... o well im not gonna mess with it nehow.. ty though

lol.. Don't stretch them man!

Take the hood right off of it and hang the bulb straight down. Put a pie plate over it so it doesnt blind you and you should not have any problems
