That is total bullshit. I have about 7,000 lumens per square foot in my grow box and that is nothing to be proud of. The bottom line is, watts = grams. You will get between .20 and .40 grams of finished product per watt using fluorescent lights. With HPS you can expect between .5 and 1 gram per watt.

I've grown a couple of plants on a windowsill but am looking to start doing it properly with a grow light. I'm only looking to grow maybe 6-10 plants and I'm currently looking at a 125w Envirolite with a batwing reflector. What do you think? Will that be enough to start off with?
