Would you save your father or not? (Ethics)
There is a birdflu going on in your city. Your mom is already dead from the flu, and each house gets 1 vaccine.
You: 18 year old male, healthy.
Father: 45 year old male, healthy.
What do you do? Why?
I believe that most people will take/give the vaccine to the 18 year old. We are programmed to survive, and we'll give the vaccine to whoever is most likely to survive (Kids over Old people, healthy over sick... even males over females).
Everything we learned while we were growing up is to sacrifice yourself for family/group/country. Maybe it's been like that to make sure we don't kill off each other and make sure that we have a chance to survive.
ONLY if you TRULY care/love someone, that you will die for them. If their lives mean MORE than YOUR life.TrailMix Reviewed by TrailMix on . Would you save your father or not?
