So, I am a VERY occasional smoker. The last time I smoked was february 19th. The time before that, I smoked on January 1st. I have a drug test to get my FAA certification (I am becomming a pilot) that I can take either in March 23rd, or April 23rd. If I take it March 23rd, I can smoke weed right after that for the next year. If I take it then, though, would I pass? I cant risk this at ALL. If I get tested positive, it basically ruins my life. suggestions?

There is no risk. You'll pass. Even if you were a daily smoker and quit a month before the test you should be able to pass it without taking any precautions. If you are serious about only smoking once every month to month and a half it's a non issue. I've sort of been in a similar situation twice, about five or six years ago. Both times I had a surprise test sprung on me and didn't have time to prepare. For the first one I smoked a joint with a friend 8 days before the test, but I hadn't smoked for about 1 1/2 to 2 months before that. It didn't show up on my piss test. Pretty much the same thing happened the second time... I had a surprise test, I smoked a gm 13 days before the test, but hadn't smoked in a month before that. There were no traces of weed in my piss test.

If its been that long dont bother with drinking large amounts of water. They know if youve flushed your system with water, because your urine will mostly be... water. So to avoid suspicion just walk in and take you test man, balls out!:thumbsup:

It's impossible to say with any accuracy whether or not you should "risk it". Numbers given out in this forum are generalizations. So many factors go into this it's impossible for anyone to say. How are they testing, how thorough is the testing, etc. Many labs will be able to see if you diluted your urine sample by drinking lots of water the day of, for example. However, whoever is testing may not be paying for such a service. If you use detox, they can test for that too, as long as someone is paying for it. However, based on what you've said, you should be fine. If you only smoke about once a month, I imagine whatever you smoke will be cleared out fairly rapidly.

If they do a urine test your good, if they do a hair follicle test you are fucked, i think.
