sorry to rain on your "Paranoid Parade", but everyone on this board has their computers IP address wih every post .. the LAW has your name and address with no effort, at all .. you can download ' IP Identifiers ' from the Web, and do it yourself, too ... ask any computer tech to explain it to you ... as to the paranoia, well, as the old saying goes, "dont do the crime, if you cant do the time" ... :smokin:

Its true they can track your IP Address. But I dont think they're aloud to use your IP to pinpoint 1 person for running the grow. I do believe it is illegal for police just to raid you on your IP Address and the information/pictures posted on cannabis.com without those photos or information on your CPU.

yeah, the need a federal subpoena to use your IP to start from your ISP, (tracking it otherways isn't admissible, and won't get you a search warrant.) if you get caught, you probably did something to deserve it (like selling, for one, telling all your friends, already a felon for another reason, etc.) frankly if they're already investigating you, and you post a pic of 100+ plants here and they happen to see it (won't happen, they need permission from the site owner to conduct their investigation) they'll be knocking on your door for tax evasion or firearm charges before they can prove you grow anything, just costs them too much time/money to single us all out for it; heck they'd have to go door to door just to find who smokes it, let alone grows it...

I would have agreed with you a couple of days ago, until the news broke, about the Government tracking ALL phone calls made ... damn, who would have thought they even have the time, after devoting themselves, selflessly, to our happiness and welfare ...

they didnt have to work at all for that, all the telcos gave them the data, they collect it themselves for internal reasons, only QWest said "No". it'll take them years to index and cross refrence those 10-digit numbers to any useable form, still seems like the government is hopelessly grabbing for anything they can to "fight terrorists", check the news, I'll bet its to take the spotlight away from something that has either happened recently, or is going to happen.
Pull the troops and turn Iraq into a parking lot I say; no one's ever gonna fix that place.

But those numbers go into a massive data base, then they are screened for people who call areas that are suspicous places where terrorists live. I mean, if you call Afghanistan 3 times a week, we might need to keep an eye on you. As far as them "tracking every phone call" as to where it exactly goes is not even possible. They could give a shit you are lining up a deal to buy a Z off Joe at 7 tonight. Now if you are planning on flying 3 jet liners into highly occupied buildings, then you are of concern to them, as you should be. Think about it, there are literally 100's of millions of calls made daily, it would take light years to sit and listen to all of them.


I've always found commense sense to be the easiest way to keep from gettin busted. Or at least that has worked for me for the last 26 years. Remember, loose lips sink ships.....lol

Man... tell me about it. I heard that as well. Also the most disturbing thing is that a poll showed that 2/3rd of people felt ok with it, as long as it helps catch terrorists.


p.s. I dont think the government needs special permissions to go to public web sites and surf.... same as they dont need a warrent to look through binoculars to see u, or take pictures of u.
