heated propogators
im just trying out different ways off geminating seeds. i was told that the seeds need to be in a dark warm place to germinate so i was wondering if i put them into rockwool cubes and then place them in a heated propogator in a dark cupboard then will this work...

Well xrayx,
I have never used that technique but you can try on some cheap bag seeds to find out. I personally prefer to place them in small cups then sit on the water heater or the refridgerator. One element that seems to remain constant is water and heat. If you think about the seeds outside in nature germination will occur in the spring. This will happen once the ground has thawed at a set tempature with the presence of moisture. As the grower, you must duplicate/replicate those conditions to achieve germination there are many different ways to achieve it some you'll have to find out.
