I always wondered about this.. and why whenever I go to my local hydro store if there are any other people in the store they are 20 something year old dudes buying everything by the gallon and paying with cash... hehe...

Also thinking the subscription to the Growing Edge I just got may have been a bad idea! haha.. oh well.. I only have veggies growing now but I know if they knock my door down and all they find is my veggie (yes real vegitables) garden they will look around untill they find something to arrest me for.. whether it is a few mp3s on my computer that i cant find the original cd to.. or who knows what. I know from the minute a judge signs the search warrent no matter how innocent I am I am going to jail and that is how it works.

The only thing that is different now is that I was smart enough to put away enough money for a good lawyer when I need one.

The DEA aren't the ones just going out and busting random people though. The cops take care of that, which are the real problem. Cops have no choice but to penalize the drug USERS since there is no line between a user and a dealer that they have to go by. Thats the whole problem with it, the current regulation plan envolves criminalizing the people dealing it, but there is no real differentiation line they have to go by, so thats why we have a problem with it..

But some states are already effectively apporaching the situation by simply having a lenient legislation over the use of the plant, but a heavier penalty over the large scale dealing and cultivation, as well as heavy penalties for other drugs. This is sucessful, as it not only helps seperate the simply, harmless activity of smoking weed with not only the larger scale dealing of it, but also reduces potential progression to harder drug use. New York City and Denver currently run it like this, and anyone who comes from a place with a legistlation like this, with only $100 fines for up to 25 grams posession, knows it is an effective way in regulating Marijuana. Its just a matter of time until this is finally understood by everyone.
