    I carved these pipes

I have been carving wooden pieces for a while as a hobby. I collect Y-shaped branches when I go for walks and make sherlocks out of em. It's a good feeling to make ur own pipes, here is two pics of my first one ever made.

It is still one of my favorites. These images are resized, so I hope easier to see.

This one is probably my favorite, I left the bark intact cause it was really cool looking. It hits extremely well.

Just different kinds that I found in the woods, I didn't identify them. I just make sure they feel like hardwood.

The designs on this one were made using a woodburner.

I use a hand saw to cut the branch. You might use sandpaper after the knife if you want it to be smooth (brings out the grain of the wood more).

I use an electric drill with a long 1/4" drill bit or a little skinnier, use that with a vice to drill the hole through the stem. Then a smaller drill bit goes through where the bowl's gonna be, to meet the hole you already drilled inside (you have to be careful in lining it up). I use a sanding tool with small drillbits and stuff to carefully dig out the bowl.
