Question for Cig smokers/exsmokers
How gradually did you become addicted? How long before you started getting cravings, etc.
Im a social smoker, but im beginning to worry that im getting hooked, because i have a very addictive personality. I smoke maybe 5 or 6 a weekend at parties and with friends.
The only time i really have a craving to smoke is right after i finish a cig off, i get the urge to pick another right up again. That, and when im on my way to school in the morning because im bored.Tmar.aLL.DaYmar Reviewed by Tmar.aLL.DaYmar on . Question for Cig smokers/exsmokers How gradually did you become addicted? Question for Cig smokers/exsmokers
I started smoking fags when i was 7, and got into about 10 a day when i was 10. Then it went up and up and im at 30 a day now, sometimes less but not often. It took me about 2 weeks to start needing them. With weed i dont feel like this at all. Mainly because weed isnt addictive.
Bit of adivce, stop now mate before you get worse. Take this from someone who knows. It's killing me, but i cant stop. Its killing you, but you can stop, so do it. Smoke weed at parties, and live!

Question for Cig smokers/exsmokers
I used to be a social smoker kinda like you, then I started buying a pack here and there. I smoked a decent amount for prolly 4 months, something like 4-5 a day on average, and only felt somewhat physically addicted. It was my chest and lungs that told me it was time to stop before I didn't have that option. About a week of not smoking I already noticed an improvement. Sure they are "fun" for whatever reason, but its not worth it.
My main thing for smoking as many as I did was my long drives I had. The drive is boring, so a cig seemed to keep me occupied. Now I just smoke a bowl or something and I don't even think about cigs.

Question for Cig smokers/exsmokers
i hate the fact that tobacco is one of the major leading causes for deaths in the usa.. maybe even the world.. but fuckin cannabis which is illegal hasnt killed one person atleast not of my knowledge...
Ya cigs are deadly and are addicting... i started like 4 or 5 years ago when i was 14...havent stopped... it started out a social thing but after like 4 months of just smoking some in front of my friends i got addicted cause i was more calm every time i had one ...
now at a pack and half a day... parliaments lights still for 3 years now\"Drugs are a bet with your mind.\"

Question for Cig smokers/exsmokers
The only reason I started smoking was because during Basic training in the Military everyone that smoked got a smoke break and those that did not had to keep scrubbing floors or what-not. I was hooked and slowly dying before I knew it.
I have been tobacco free for nearly four years now after 24 years of two packs a day. Quite cold turkey, and that in itself is another story entirely, but the point I am trying to make is that I feel sooo much better and even though I am a MMJ patient, the quality of life is much better now being a non (tobacco) smoker.
My advice to ANYONE thinking about starting to smoke is simple .... Don't!
