Amtrac(k)? works in partenership with the DEA and profiles those they think might be carrying/smuggling drugs. They split the profits of any bust. This has been going on since 2000 that i know of and i only hear about it on NPR when i was in Manhattan and traveling back and forth from Manhattan to DC, or Manhattan to Boston. I stopped using Amtrack for that reason and started renting a car. Fuck them.
