I smoked my first few times out of a retrofitted asthma inhaler with a tin-foil bowl. I soon learned the beauty of the glass pipe, and never looked back.

I'd recommend getting a nice portable sherlock bubbler; something you can fit in your pocket, but isn't so small that it doesn't feel solid in your hand. Right now I have a big pyrex bong and a smaller mini-bong; frankly, I miss my old bubbler somethin' fierce.

Small spoons are nice for steath, but going through water makes it SO nice. And bubs can be hidden rather easy too. But yeah, glass is the BEST.

Dude, homemade pipes suck, If you need to make something homemade, make a Bong, a Hooka or a Gravity bong. Believe me although homemade shit can never be as good as glass it doesn't have to outright suck and waste weed; Home made bongs, hookas, and gravity bongs can work really well and get you ripped as hell and you can be under 18. Unfortunately though common home made pipes really do suck, like the ones made out of apples and soda cans (although Apples can be nice they don't last).
