Read some posts. Make your own system and you will save a chunk of money. Then buy the best lights you can. And get some general hydroponics micro and bloom nutes. Get a ppm meter and a ph meter. Buy some vinegar for ph down adjusting. That's about the bare minimum you need. Then prepare to be busy for awhile. Oh, and Zandor always says grow some soil plants too. Hydro can be a bit tricky. Especially for someone who has never grown before. Good luck.
Gen Reviewed by Gen on . Hydroponic Setup <$100 using GH Waterfarm and Fluorex I am planning on growing a small, fast, hydroponic crop in a single room dorm. I am trying to grow three or four ounces. I am planning on purchasing a single stand alone "Waterfarm" system made by General Hydroponics and a single "Lights of America 65 Watt FluoreX Fluorescent Flood Light." The light is about $40 and the Waterfarm is about $60 with included nutrients, grow media, reseviour, etc. How many plants should I grow in a single Waterfarm? Should I purchase more than one Waterfarm? Is Rating: 5
