Bubble is the ice water method...

I dont know weather shaking is better than a mixer I have heard some people mix by hand and get good results..

Weird... I was just reading about bubble hash on Wikipedia about a half-hout ago.

i use 5 gallon buckets and stir by hand. I never put more than 4 ounces at a time in ice water. 3 bag system

actually you want agitation. you need to knock off those trich's and the colder the water the better so those doing it by hand might want to invest in a paint stir attachement for the drill or a long beater/mixer (but paint stirs are much easier to find and far cheaper) and stir in the bucket, without the bags. then run it through the bags in a separate bucket. this saves a lot of wear and tear on the bags. when done i run the bags through the washing machine on gentle cycle then hang dry before putting them away...ready for the next harvest!
