Not exactly. PVC is fine until you start running questionable materials through it. They leech off bad stuff in the plastic. I was reading about PVC Butane tubes a couple weeks ago and this particular article said that there were no known interactions between PVC and butane though.

Im thinking a foot 1/2 long tube, with 2 end caps.
