Tempting Fate ................
The babies are looking good Mand, I see further proof why I need to suck it up and buy an hid light (its on it's way though). Keep up the good work.
gin4dub Reviewed by gin4dub on . Tempting Fate ................ Hello :) Well it is tempting fate for me to do a grow journal because whenever I do one ......................... I just get so many problems :o Anyway let's try it ;) Well out of ten "White Widow" seeds nine have germinated and are in the pots waiting to poke their heads up. I'm not reverting back to an old growroom because it simply isn't warm enough and it's just too big to try and provide heat. Anyway I've gone all kinda hi-tech:rolleyes: and bought the old parafin heater Rating: 5

Hello Grim
......................................... Hmmmm, another guy who goes all mushy over a few plants
...................
Only kidding Grim
Hello MarcI do keep a lookout to see if you're online Marc but I've not seen you. Mind you love I haven't been on the computer very much just lately, I've been having to put in extra hours at work due to the amount of bills I need to pay at this time of year
I only really get on here just before bedtime if I can.
Hmmmm growing again, well I really was trying to wait to use the other growroom but "oh dear", I'm affraid I couldn't
As for the compost Marc, no I don't re-use it. I just dig it into the garden when I've done, I don't even put it on the compost heap.
Good news is Marc I think that someone has maybe opened some more livery stables because the horse population has gone up around here recently, which means lots more horse poo
Hello mrabregoOh yes they will be trasplanted into larger pots ............... somewhere around about three weeks if all goes well
Hello KushHonestly I never worry about a bit of streching, if the grow goes as "normal", then in a day or two any streching should stop and the plants will start to thicken out.
Some may need a little suport for a while but I have an habit of putting sticks in them all just incase
Within a week or two any that did need support will be ok by themselves. It's just my "little way", I never like to get the light in too close to seedlings.
Hello gin4dubI do like the MH and HPS set up but don't worry love we work with what we have got
I honestly don't know anything about CFL's and the different light but I have seen some really nice grows on here that were done under those lights
Hello BobbyThanks love
They will be fine (I hope), in a few weeks they will hopefully be fully supportive of themselves ........................ and I know I really should use a fan but I only tend to use one if the condensation gets too bad in Summer.
It's just me, I really like to keep thing's down to the bare minimum, as simple as possible so I tend to skip using a fan
Well I'm going to try and not post pics all the time, if you post them too often sometimes it's difficult to see any changes.
However here's some from early today. The streching will carry on for a day or two but that's alright.
Anyway so far these seeds have behaved as they are supposed too, the timescale on how they are growing is right. The last lot, on the abandoned grow never seemed quite right.
Also it's been cooler today, the temprture was down to 60F, I'm even measuring the temp now
Thanks guys ........................ love mand xxx

MAND! You're turning all techie on us! HA! Before ya know it you'll be checking ph and using wild formulations of nutes!
But I seriously believe you're missing the boat on the horse poop. Collect all you can, in fact go to the people and ask for it, and then mix it with some of your compost, bag it and sell it as Mand's Mighty Mulch! You'd sell tons of it and be a bazillionaire!!

Mushy isn't quite the right word.
Try the other end of the spectrum.
Good to see everything is going well and feeling "right" this time around

Tempting Fate ................
Hello PP
thanks love, They do seem to be doing what they are supposed to, that's all I can ask of them
Hello Marc, I know going all techie, it's kinda worrying, were will it all end
Mind you Marc I'm only using "odds and ends" that I have lying around ............ perish the thought that I might ever buy something for growing
It's true though love, the horse population has gone right up just lately, everytime I take the dogs out on their walks I'm constantly coming home with a carrier bag of frozen horse poo ..................... it's a bit chilly here
Hello Rekap, well not too much happening I'm affraid, mind you early days yet.
I've no plans on this lot, just going to see what happens
Hello Grim, Ah glad to hear it love, there are just too many "mushy" guys around
I know I keep saying it but that last grow never went as it should right from the begining. This one just feels right, I am hoping it will be a reasonable grow ....................... but only time will tell
Hello Mobay, nice to hear from you ...............
I'm affraid no matter how many times I told myself to wait and use the other growroom I just couldn't
Tell you what Mobay secretly I'm hoping to get two grows done during this Summer, If these grow alright I might try some other Dutch Passion seeds again next time
Update ........................... well nothing much really, I have put some support sticks in, although I'm not sure they needed them but I always support them anyway just incase.
Oh and the old parrafin heater is working a treat, it's very cold outside and the temp in the growroom is near the 70F mark again today

Tempting Fate ................
Hello
Just a really quick update ......................... the streching has stopped and they should now start to "fill out".
I know everyone seems to be growing "widows" just lately but this is my first time with them and it's also my first time growing Dutch Passion seeds.
Anyway up to now I am quiet pleased with them, they are growing as one would expect them too
Hmmm not much else to say really................... I'll just post a pic
love mand xxx
