How do you protect yourself?

wow, reading through this has been pretty pathetic. i have been in 0 serious fights in my life. 20 years old, lived in an upstate city in ny and the past 2 years in nyc.

the only people who should carry anything are women, for the obvious reasons that they are considered "easy targets" for petty crime as well as violent crime.

for all the men here, where do you live that your life is in danger? if some guy tries to rob you for your wallet is it really worth his or your life by exacerbating the situation? would you really kill somebody because they chose to pick a fight with you? i cant imagine someone just walking up to you on the street to kill you for no reason at all.

I totaly support concealed carry, man! The world is a screwed up place, and it doesn't matter where you are from. It is every Americans right to bear arms, and many of us choose to use that right. It's not pathetic, dude! It's actually not a bad idea, imo.

And yes, if my life is in danger, I will use lethal force!

y'all are right, it is sad to feel like you have to carry a weapon when you walk down the street.
i don't know if i'll ever have to use my knife, but you better believe i'll never hesitate if the situation arises.

Guns are great fun and very safe when people with training and expierience have them. I also think more women should start to carry and own weapons, for sure when they live alone. They are the ultimate equalizer.:thumbsup:
