How do you protect yourself?

I rarely get any trouble, I think my height and my appearance put most folk off from starting shit with me.
I also have a reputation for having a very bad temper which makes it easier.

The same is true for me. I never am the one to start the shit, and being pretty big and intimidating, very few people ever start shit with me. Works out good.:thumbsup:

I WILL however, be getting a ccw permit as soon as I turn 21. I believe i'll be getting a glock 40 from my uncle for cheap so I should be good.

In my 17 years on the planet I've never had a fight with anyone other than my brother.. I don't try, but I just don't seem to ever get into any fight situations, so for now I don't really think about protecting myself, but if the shit hits the fan I'll let loose lol

a pair of brass nucks, and a 5 inch blade. On the very few occasions ive had to use the self defense i just gave them my best shot to the jaw and they went down like a brick, gave them a few kicks in the teeth and stomach and they arent in any shape to fuck around. never had to pull out the blade and slice someone up though, always a last resort.

i have never been jumped or been in an actual fight which is surprising considering all my friends have and im underweight for my age. I do have a knife with a 6 inch blade that i bought in a pawn shop, but other then that i would be using my fists. Where i live most people just beat the living shit out of other people with their fists, not much really violent stuff. It probably helps that most of the really strong or good fighters are friends with either me or my brother so it only leaves people that dont want to fight me anyway because they think my friends will jump in.

Im 18 and have been jumped by some cockhead chav, just because we werent singing with him when they all walked past (there was just me and Ben, and there were about 6/7 of them).
I used to carry my gorgeous TM Beretta 'Biohazard' around with me (and a massive GB-Tech silencer aswell cos it makes it look 'harder' lol) but now Ive sold that to Ben so I could buy a decent growlamp.
When I get some money, Im gonna visit Webley and Scott in Brummieland and buy a decent hunting knife from them. Dad got one from there when he bought his rifle and it only cost a fiver, fuckin sharp 4" blade with guthook and a nice rubber and metal handle. Gilders in town sell them for £20 each!
Next time someone jumps me, theyll get a helluva surprise.
And yes if I had to, I would use it - Im used to the sight of blood anyway. Hell, if its me or him, its gonna be him that pegs it!

i have a machete within reach under my bed,,in the drawer is a bowie knife ,,,,,but wouldnt take them outside be hard to conceal for one,,an two its illegal to carry an offensive weapon ,,an im a law abidin person lmao

Does North Carolina,have concealed-carry available ? Your best means of defense,other than avoiding bad situations,would be to have a CCW permit and be trained in the use of a pistol in close-quarters,you would also need to mentally prepare yourself for inflicting injuries with lot's of blood and physical damage,which could be the hardest part of all. If you take the CCW route,I suggest a compact 45,as it's stopping power,is much superior to that of a 9mm.

you have some good points man... im not sure a real small girl could handle a short-barreled .45ACP, as the recoil is harsh on the wrists. when i was 12, i could barely handle a 5 inch m1911! but innyway, we should shoot together sometime man. my fave for protection is my 9mm SigPro 2009. It barely recoils, and it is perfect for a tight situation. As to .45, my fave is of course the classic m1911, or a S&W 4506.

Carry a .22lr... You can fire off 10 shots in a short space of time and I'm sure they'd stop in their tracks the same as a .45 would make them. Also the bullets can ricochet off their bones and go all around their body, whereas the .45 will just knock them down in one... So I suggest having fun and doing damage with a .22 lol

Im thinking of getting like an 8 shot .22 revolver or a Ruger Mk1 for plinking and target shooting. Thing that prompted me to buy guns? a bullet went through our wall.
