Congress contacts....Congress contacts....lets find out there positions

I began with the interigation of the DEA today, here is where we are at the end of day one.

    C
We spoke yesterday over the telephone.
My question is why does the DEA feel cannabis should be illegal in the United States.

Public information officer DEA headquarters Washington DC (DEA)
    You received our answer yesterday.

    C
For the record, I received my answer when I called yesterday to the DEA headquarters in Washington D.C, and spoke with you the Public Information Officer at (202) 307-7977?

    DEA
Yes, one of the public information specialists.

    C
Your answer to review the Controlled Substances Act and that Congress passes the law and the DEA only enforces it, is that correct?

    DEA
Not quite -- take out the only. DEA enforces the law.

    C
I apologizes the DEA enforces the law. Does the DEA believe in the laws they enforce?

I apologize the DEA enforces the law. Is it fair to say the DEA would not enforce laws that they do not believe protect the American way of life?

Well she did not write back yesterday or today yet. I just want people to see how the DEA acts so I am sending it to a few people in congress aswell. I still have yet to add the US Embassies and United Nations contacts. After that I am going to send it to other countries embassies as well. If any one wants to help legalize and round up some email addresses of contacts I would greatly appreciate the help. I dont mind doing it myself but this is the activist forum is it not? Maybe we should change the name to things to bitch about.

Dude, emails can be deleted. Send them a letter if you really have to get your point across. Besides, they have aides that check emails for them.

Then let it beforever on record that they did not respond. I am bringing it to their attention. Even if just a couple read it every time atleast I have brought it to their attention. Those couple can send it to a couple more and so on down the line. As far as letters go I have sent out between 30 and 40, notice the reply that I posted. I send letters in form of email and as you can see they do read them as the return letters are hand signed and issue specific. Will you help the cause?

I just got off the phone with NORML and they are going to try and get me some info on when President Carter said that he did not believe people should go to prison for cannabis, but the DEA some how managed to keep it legal. I will keep everyone informed
