The Bible makes perfect sense btw. The Old Testament reads like the history of the Hebrew people and the New Testmanet represents an evolution in God and the parables of Jesus. If you want to understand most western civilization literature, you're going to have to understand The Bible and Biblical allusions.
Alot of people don't understand how to spot these allusions and they take the Bible completely in the literal sense. People are stupid.

The reason the government has outlawed recreational drugs is because they are in fact harmful to society. It is not the drugs themselves even, its human nature, because people will always use and abuse. Another problem is drugs usually inspire thought that is outside the box, which in any large country is a threat to the government.
I think it's the latter... Mushrooms and DMT aren't dangerous.
