what if we go to war with iran.
what happend to the good days, when politicians would use a major pursuasive speach to make you rise up and apreciate the war your about to go to. Maybe its becuase then the war was nessisary, inevitable. when the chess board of an administration takes the idea of war and moves it from the back burner king (last resort type thing) to an everyday pawn to justify things you wana do...theres problems.
Patrick henry stood infront of a hall of mene all eager for peace, and floored them with the war inevitable. the notion that their very way of existance is in jepordy because a Tyrant was on the doorstep of their freedom and liberty. By the end of his speach, the hall was up in arms and ready to fight
This to me is the case of war. When you have no alternative. Theres no where to Run. War is a defensive manuver, not an offensive. Premtive strikes are a tool of evil, and regardless of weather or not that is my country is not my problem. Everywere you go its going to exhist.
I understand we live in a day and age where its not that simple, where nukes play an unmistakable role in policy and administration, but i feel the world CAN get along.
The reason we can't return to a world of stablization is due in part to Ego and pride. To be perfectly honest, i can understand why the arab extreemest hate us. I dont ssee why they have to come here and fly planes into our buildings to prove their point, but i dont see why we should be trying to stop them on their own territory.
Westernized civilation is new. and it came at a time when many other things developed. We jump started the industrial revolution, brought conflict, and destroyed empires. We grew like a popular drug dealer, harvesting land where we stepped, and forced out natives like a facist dictator. ITS UNDERSTANDABLE that a sertain people, whose way of life in the deserty lands of hte middle easy have been unchanged for thousands of years dont want to see their way of life change. but that is of cource no reason to challenge ours.
So that is the problem we face. They challenge our way of life on our turf like planted time bombs. And we attack the way we know how. BOOM! BANG! the tornado of power tares through their land in the hopes that we'll hover over the holy grail of terrorists and halt them for ever. But they want that. They know we can't get all of them, or even their leaders. All of the short wave radios wont pick up the pigeons they have relaying messages. And all it does is make us look like the evilness.
But what makes the situation worse is how the top officials in any case refuse to be open and honest with the world. If george bush would come out and lay all of his cards on the table, i for one would like him alot better. When he first admited to fucking up in Iraq, ill admit i gave him points for that. The white house should always have 'the buck stops heere' mentality.
i have to stop writing now cause im in class and my teacher just looked at me. more to come.

Without question we will have to eat all of our children for energy before we do anything else. It's the long-lasting energy that you need to fight a war versus an army that is made up of Four Spearchuking Snipers with two fingers on one hand and three on the other, three bows and arrows, seven supersoakers filled with poison goat milk, and one woman with three nipples all capable of squirting sour breast milk up to 24 feet into the wind. The thought of the chaos from fighting such a inhumane form of combat makes me want to eat my children as I type this.

what if we go to war with iran.
this top actualy relates to this book i've been reading. Botany of desire. It talks about an idea of co-evolution, where plants need us (animals) to help them, and we need them (plants/fruit/vegitation) to help us. We use eachother to evolve. for existance the tulip and the apple. Each of these produce offspring which are less then 1% simalar to their parent. They produce many offspring per plant, and thousands of combonations of genes. Why? to produce the offspring that will sucsseed and produce even more.
for example, Bee's are drawn to symetry and color. Humans are drawn to uniqueness, and beauty. As tulips produce more and more symetrical flowers more and more bee's take the pollen and travel to more and more plants. Spreading its genes to more and more flowers. They exploit the bees love of symetry for their own personal agenda.
like wize, there is a type of fungas which can attach itself to the tulip. This fungas seperates the two layers of colors in the tulip, producing a swirl of colors. they call this a broken tulip. This tulip is bold and beautiful, and tends to captivate human intrest. This fungi exploits the beuaty it creates (which also destroys the flower) to advance ITS own personal agenda.
I think its possible for co-evolution to be co-deevolution. We can ping pong back and forth with an oposite culture to advance our own, but unknowlingly, we can pick away at each other creating a slow descent of a spiral of de-evolution. We may just pick away at eachother bit by bit until one day, a nuke is launched to control the other (similar to how we would use a pesticide on the tulip to kill the fungus).
think about it.

if we didnt fuck around like we are in iraq, we could make iran and iraq both into giant parking lots. we have the greatest military in the world, yet we're afraid to take full advantage of it.

we can't take advantage of it. Our military is very very technilogicly equipped, and the enemy is technologicly adept. Its like fighting the vietkong all over again. you can't blast a rocket into the haystack and expect to find the needle.

this is true. I think though that if the US military was given free reign in iraq, we could easily win. Now I'm not saying give every 19 yr. old a gun let em loose and turn it into the wild west, just use the might of the US military effectively and ruthlessly.
