Even if that happened, it wouldn't do much for us. Dickhead Cheney would just be the president instead, and he's no better. While it would be really sweet to watch Bush receive a proper punishment for his crimes, it wouldn't really change anything in the world if that happened and Cheney or some other neocon filled his shoes. Hell, it wouldn't even make much of a difference if the most liberal Democrat were in the White House. What we really need to do is smash the whole fucking establishment, from the president on down to the weed-hating pigs. Too bad our educational system and media are geared to make people ignorant of how they're being fucked over by the system every day.

What we need to do is educate people, not kill presidents. If Bush were assassinated, he would become an instant martyr. Bush apologetics would find some group or groups to blame (the Muslims, the liberals, the homosexuals, the anarchists, the North Koreans...) and would use the asssassination as a way of portraying that group as evil. The result would be that people would conveniently forget about all the evil crap that Bush did and would rally around a counteroffensive against whichever group or groups received the blame. On the other hand, if we educate enough people we might actually have a chance of creating an actual revolution capable of overthrowing the American government and changing our lives for the better.

Dick chaney said "all options are currently on the table" while stating that the united states WILL NOT allow iran to hold a nuclear weapon.
We are already fighting a failing war in Iraq. We most definatly can not fight another in iran. At least without the draft.
If they even attempt to try to go to war, i would sencerily hope that congress would tell bush to go fuck himself. After this year, the congress is going blue anyhow. the conservatives are gonna loose both house and senate hopefully. (bring on the impeachment!)

Why not? There are several reasons why that is the most horrible idea I've heard in a long time. First, it would kill off mostly innocent people who haven't done anything wrong. Secondly, most of the dead would consist of people too poor to afford proper medical care, while the rich people (i.e. the people in power) will easily find ways to quarantine themselves from an epidemic and probably would not be too affected by it. Thirdly, since diseases don't know where our borders are, if we were successful in creating a bird flu epidemic in Iran, it would quickly spread to Iraq and Afghanistan, and then to any place that the soldiers there might want to go (like, say, the United Kingdom). And finally, using such methods of biological terrorism on the citizenry of Iran would cause a backlash from just about anybody who is against biological terrorism (i.e. pretty much everybody in the world). I can't see how the people responsible would not be convicted of genocide and deposed from power.

There is no war in Iraq. There's an insurgency, and yeah, if we're there another 25 years blowing them away, we might lose as many people as we did in the last real war (the Vietnam War). Wars are fought between armies. The insurgents have no army, just some poorly equipped, poorly organized gangs.

If we fight Iran, THAT could turn into a war. They are far better equipped than any insurgency, and while we would certainly win, it would not be nearly as easy as wiping out Saddam's army was. It would be easier than winning a war with North Korea though (and if we went to war with North Korea, we'd win there too, eventually). Going to war with Iran wouldn't be as rough as people might lead you to believe though, because we've got nearly 200,000 soldiers right next door doing little except playing as uniformed cops. We'd have air superiority within a day, and air supremacy within a week if we decided to tackle Iran militarily. And once you have air supremacy, everything gets a whole lot easier. Then it's just a matter of bombing targets until the enemy capitulates or there is no more enemy, whichever they choose. And then the aftermath: fighting another insurgency, assuming they capitulate before everyone is dead.

Yup..in a way-yer right,we are to blame for allowing environazis here in America,to influence and obfuscate our domestic energy production. Which led us into greater dependence on foreign oil supplies. Environazis have managed to suppress off-shore drilling,the building of new refineries and nuclear plants,the discovery of new oil and gas fields,drilling in ANWR and so on..shame on us for letting ourselves to be too dependent on foreign oil supplies..now we have to eliminate those rogue goverments who would seek to blackmail us and cripple our economy.

If the world doesn't take care of the Iran problem,Israel may be forced to do such,and it won't be pretty,especially if Israel is forced to nuke every arab country in the region,including Saudia Arabia and Egypt,the arab world,especially the muslims,will never relinquish their dream and goal,of wiping Israel off the map and murdering every Jew and infidel,wherever they are to be found. Only nuclear deterrence,stands in their way..and soon-that may no longer work,if they all decide to become martyrs to bring about Darfur..an Islamic world-state.

All the U.N. is asking for is the dismantalling of the nuclear sites. A few bunker busters with a couple of tomahawk missles and its a job well done. No troops will be needed to step into Iran.

The rest of the Arab countries will stay out of this one. Fact is, Iran is the only Shi'ite dominate country next to Iraq. The Sunni's in the area will actually sigh a bit of relief to know that the Iranian nuclear threat has passed. Why do ya think that the majority of the countries in the region supported Saddam during the Iraq/Iran war? This is where the 40 billion in Iraqi debt started with the GCC states. Supposed grants at the time for war efforts have misteriously turned into loans after the fact.
