Hydrophonic Vs Standard Indoor Growing ?

Overgrow did an article of a side by dide comparison of two identical grows with the only variable being the grow system (and undoutebly the ph/nutrient/oxygen availibility to the roots but unavoidable. The conclusion in a nutshell was the hydro setup had a MUCH bigger yield (about 2.5x if my memory serves me correctly). And personally I've noticed a MUCH quickly grow rate

    That sounds about right.

Hydro is not for beginners, it's more work and cost more money to grow it right in hydro then dirt farming but I feel it's worth the effort and expense.

SOIL is also a good time and can produce tremendous yields..

there was a guy about 6 month back that had his entire 2 car garage filled with a planter box that was only 6 inches deep of dirt.. he grew one of the most impressive SOG's I have ever seen..

his screen name started with a T...
    trembulous.. or something like that

    and it was soil!!!!!!

    love

Hydroponics is very much for beginners, and cheap too. My first grow was growing HORRIBLE in soil. After a month they were about 3" tall and very unhealthy. I washed off the soil and put them in a bucket of fertilizer and they EXPLODED with growth. All you need is a bucket, a $5 air pump, and some fertilizer. I use peters 20-20-20 at 1/2 teaspoon per gallon. Total cost for my system was about $10.

Then you are the one in a million grower.

A normal hydro grow cost about 800 bucks to set up. The Ph& tds pen cost 180.00 alone plus pumps, lights all all the other equipment. DWC is about as cheep as they come.

Like I said you must be the one in a million.

I'm not one in a million at all. Anyone can do it.
    5 gallon bucket: $3
    Air pump: $10
    Air stone/tubing: $3
    Fertilizer: $3

Viola, you've got a complete hydroponic system for $19. If you want to spend another $5 you can get a PH test kit from the pet store, but I don't even bother checking the PH anymore. I change the water about once a week, (straight from the tap) but I've gone a couple months without changing it with no negative effects. Oh, and I spent about $40 on CFLs if you want to include that too.

You CAN spend a hell of alot more if you want to, but there is absolutely no reason you HAVE to.
