how do you blow smoke rings?

hey, can anyone describe ways of blowing smoke rings? I know how to french inhale and stuff, but i want to learn how to make rings. And if anyone has any other cool techniques with smoke or w/e, post em :thumbsup:

well this is kind of lame compared to real smoke rings from your mouth, but I know how to make em with a burning incense stick. hold it sticking out straight from your hand, and slowly and smoothly push your arm forward in one fluid gesture, then pull your arm back quickly at the end of the follow-through.

looks very cool on stony occasions when you're bored the smoke rings are very thin and stay together for a while.

p.s. i haven't gotten this technique to work, but i hear you're supposed to form an O with your mouth and "push" the smoke out with your tongue.

kk thanks!.. i think i heard about that whole pushing the smoke out with your tongue but i dont understand what that means haha. I heard of a way with doing it from your lungs too or something where you don't have to use your tongue, but I'm not sure? anyone else know?

yea but dont do it with pot smoke cuz its a waste...you dont inhale it you just keep it in your mouth for a "O" with your mouth and force it out with your tounge

if ya really wanna cool smoking trick that doesnt involve losing smoke than do the french inhale..which is taking the smoke in your mouth and letting it flow out while breathing in your nose..its kinda like a self shotty

I got rings down... i'm trying to get rings through rings now... just practice, and don't try too hard, it's not as hard as it looks.

ps. try doing it in the car with a blunt... more smoke, less wind and you're hotboxing so it's not as bad as a waste.

i can blow smoke rings with inhaling u inhale u then breathe a little smoke out just to get it going then u make ur mouth into a 0 shape and click ur jaw its quite easy realy

I heard you have to pop your jaw to make them. Do you feel your joints poping like when you pop your neck? Or is it just a subtle motion of the jaw?

subtle motion in the throat/jaw... i use the back of my mouth/throat to force air out of my mouth. you can hear a poping, kinda. Not bone put pop of air.

Form an O with your lips and push the smoke out with your tounge. Its not an easy thing to describe, but its amazing for you and your mates to look at when your stoned. Push the smoke out gently though, otherwise you'll blow through it and end up wtih nothing.
