How to get a hole in glass

I have this perfect vase, for a bong but I was wondering how to get ahole in it for the slide / bowl. I dont have glass cutters. Also whats a good slide?

you can buy drill bits at home depotthat cut through glass, you have to be pretty careful though (i suggest practicing on picture frams ect. first) and the bits are a bit pricey.

I've actually kind of got the same question.
Is there any safe way of doing it with out special glass cutting drill bits without risking the glass to break?

There aren't any home hardware shops near me, and I haven't gotten my license yet to drive to one.

if you have some kind of torch or eve a gas range you can heat the lass up then just take a nail and push a hole thru

will just a regular hand butiane torch be hot enugh? if so i think i might try to build a bong out of this cool candle holder i found last night at the dollar store.

if you have the time you can take a big nail, awl, or a small screw driver and just start hitting the spot where you want a hole repeatedly and chip away the glass, ive made tons o successful bongs this way before i got a dremel

I used a drill bit and small round file.

Took long ass time, but got the job done.

I seen this kit at homedepot with a little piece that has different attachtments that would be perfect for making a mad hitting wooden pipe, the best part is that its only $35, Im going to buy one and make me a collection of nice wooden pieces, consider it.:thumbsup:

just got dremel kit a little while ago, the bit they show to use for glass has a diamond tip, look into one of thoughs if you like to get creative.

i stole a big ass glass flask from my science class once, perfect shape too. But i worked on it soo long jus to get a hole in the prick but it cracked. i filled it up with sand first to put some pressure on it from the inside then started to hack at it with a scissor tip and a tiny drill bit but it was a mission impossible!!!

it wouldve made the best bong i miss it
