outdoor soil

I plan on growing outdoors, i live in the midwest part of the US, winter is ending and spring is slowly beginning. i was planning on starting next month, or should i start them indoors and move them outdoors next month that way they might have a better chance of surviving? i figured if i start them indoors they'll be strong enough to continue growing outdoors, rather than them being to weak in the beginning to survive outdoors. can someone explain to me about using perlit or verm. to make the soil better? and everything else about starting them indoors?

yeah hello this is a first grow for me but what i have done is used half potting soil and half perlite so a 50/50 mix per each pot the perlite helps drainage and airation to the roots so perlite is a must, germinate ya seed in dampend cotton wool in a dark and warm place and then plant it in a pot with a mixture of soil and perlite and water it nicely then leave under a blue spectrum veg light im using an (envirolite) for 18 hours of light and 6 hours of dark make sure you put a fan blowing at the plant this will strengthen the plants stem and make it stronger for outdoor winds when you replant outside thats about it i think let us know how ya get on

Yep that sounds good.
I think verm is used to help retain water but u dont really need it. There is plenty of help and advice on this forum.

I am planning on trying an outdoor grow this summer. I will just plant 1 of my cuttings outside once it gets going. I think u r right dazed that they should stand a better chance of surviving this way.
The other advantage of starting indoor is u could wait untill u can see pre-flowers on the plant, that way u dont have to waste space with male plants outside.

Well if your gonna start them indoors put them under constant light for 3 months, some people only go 2 months, don't matter. :rasta:
