Major damage caused by 12/12?
ok basically, I can't do 12/12 all the times, for one reason or another, being at work, over sleeping etc etc.
For example today, I woke up 2 hours late.
So therefore, over a 48 hour period instead of it being 24/24
it's going to be 26/22 and maybe even worse.
I know 12/12 is the best you can get. but nature doesn't guarantee 12/12 anyways, because it can't.
plus on day 6 of flowering, no signs of sex yet (and it was 12/12 perfect) till today.Mole2k4 Reviewed by Mole2k4 on . you need a timer. What is 22/26? if it is 22 hours on 26 off that will not work. And yes in nature the time is guaranted unless the orbit of the earth changes and then you haver bigger problems.

Mole;
ya, a timer is what you need man, you can find them at every hardware store, and even most chain stores that carry household items. They cost around $6.00 American.. so not sure what that would be in the UK.
1 problem by switching the times like that, is you can confuse your plant and make it wanna go back to veg state (I had that experience once yrs ago)
it just gives stretchy nugs and totally F*'s your flower cycle.
best of luck man!got a beer, got a joint?

Major damage caused by 12/12?
I just bought my timer from Wal-Mart. It was $4.50 US....Great investment. Set it and perfect 12/12. Work. Vacation. Dont matter.
I have a few questions of my own for anyone that can answer. 1st off I am in day 9 of flowering. Only have 3 plants. Two r flowering third is not. My question is do female plants look similar to males when they first start off? That is do they have little balls? I have seen the white pistil hairs on some lower leaves but top looks like little balls. Does the top take longer to show sex? Or is it a hermie? Hope not. What is the longest b4 one can determine sex? Just wanna make sure i dont pollinate other plants. How long till males release pollen?
2nd.....what is mylar used for.....legally that is....
Where is the best place to go buy it? Looked around but cant find it and the people I ask dont know what the hell it is. Any help is appreciated. Thanx all.

Major damage caused by 12/12?
the top of the plant goes first.
as for timers, my local harware store has one for 350w, not 400w.
I don't mean 22 on 26 off, I mean.... 10 on 14 off, 12 on 12 off.
Surely, there's the situation of cloud cover, yeah sure, not a complete blackout, but still, hampers the light none the less.

You dont need a timer for a certain wattage, just click it into where the ballast power cord goes into the wall, then put the power cord into its slot, a 5 dollar Fred Myer one will work for a 1000 watt ballast.
