    Mylar drastically increasing temps

Ever since I added mylar to my cabinet temps went up almost 20 degrees over night. This is going to be a problem. On overgrow it was said that if your cabinet is white it will reflect light just as well as mylar. My cabinet is a shiny white, should I just ditch the mylar?

If it was white from the get go, you may have not needed the mylar. I find light reflects good enough off of white to not need the mylar, but mylar is generally a bit better at reflecting. If it's a problem though, ditch it.

True, the difference in reflectivity between mylar and matt white paint is under 10% if i remember rightly.. if it aint broke etc

If $10 gives you 10% more light, fix it.

Well factor in the increase in temps and you have another thing in the equation to consider.

Do you have exhaust fans in your cabinet? Or any type of fans? also whats the light wattage?

Edit:P.S 10% isnt much but anything over what you have is a bonus and that extra light equals 2 things.
    1:More Bud
    2:Free Light
Also only certain types of paint will reflect even close to mylar keep that in mind also because basic white wall paint isnt even close.
