I think that overall, Canada is an ideal place to live now since the US has become a fascist state. It is like a mix of British and French cultures. I kind of wish I was born in Canada. I can't even afford student health insurance here in the US! The Americans are doing their best to extend US policy in Canada and sadly, it is working so far. The newly elected Conservative, (but thank God minority!) government is in pure sync with the Bush administration. I hope Canada doesn't pull out of the Kyoto Accord either.

Who the hell cares if Canada doesn't have a strong military. Thank God they're not warlike, like America is! As history has shown us time and time again, all great empires eventually fall and fade away. Remember how the British boasted that the sun would never set on the British Empire? Well after World War 2, the UK was reduced to a second class power, no longer having her influential global capability, although the UK is still a strong country economically and militarily, but is still no match for the US. No country by itself is a match for the US and thats what scares me.

But anyway, if Canada legalizes cannabis eventually, than the US will have to follow suit. It would be retarted for one country to legalize and the US to demonize the same activity. Its called morality enforcement.
