    the mystery behind psychology...

They've already figured out Psychology. I don't know how they did it, but I have a huge book filled with psychological information.

The cannabinoid receptor system is next on the list!!!

psych is too broad of a field to lump it into a small question that doesn't even really make sense... so i will choose non-action and not vote in the poll

i'm not summing up the whole field into one question. but i am posing a question to those interested in the field. the two choices are simple. you choose action, you're saying that you'd pursue the degree to help and utilize what you know. a non-action response would mean that you'd be interested for reasons only benefiting yourself, and or because you're lost.

    the mystery behind psychology...

    Howdy Ganj,

I find psychology to be fascinating, myself, and I'm always curious as to the cause and effect of motive..what are the triggers that launch us into action/non-action,for each choice that we make and the mental boundaries that we construct, that impede us from acting/reacting,that may lead us to believe that there's no choice.

I was once in a situation, where I had to sit in a room full of psychologists and psychiatrists, who were trying to determine if I was mentally ill and addicted to drugs, although I was only 18 at the time,I managed to convince them all, that I was not mentally ill and did not need to be 'committed' to drug rehab and counseling. I was asked what I would want to be,if I could be anything, and I said " A starship captain like cpt. Kirk or even better,a science officer like Spock.." I went on to elaborate about how fascinating I found the field of high-energy physics to be and the technologies hinted at in the Star Trek series..their eyes started to glaze over when I started talking about how interesting matter/anti-matter reactions are and it's various possible applications. They finally said-"okay-we've heard enough !" I was released the next day

Have a good one ! :stoned:
