Today some healthy living "professional" came to talk to my gym class about steroids.

When talking about the effects of steroids on the body she said "Steroids cause men to get breasts, higher voices, and shrinks there testicles...just like long term marijuana use will shrink your genitalia.

As soon as she said this i yelled out "who conducted that study on marijuana? and she said "its a common fact...now lets get back on task"

Now this pissed me off because not only is she supposed to be a professional with all the facts but now there are guys in my class saying there quitting weed which are some of my regular customers. They asked me if i was going to stop tokin and i said no? and there like ha ha have fun turning into a girl.

Daily Factoid: Gynecomastia occurs no more often in cannabis users than other men. Marijuana does not increase levels of female hormones in men, even in large doses.

am i to believe this daily factoid is not true? Does anyone know the real deal on all of this?

The point of that post was THC is not a toxic chemical, nor does it cause your genitals to shrink or make adolescent males suddenly change sexes.

I mean, come on. The only chemical that can make a guy turn in to a girl is estrogen, and the only way to get that in your system is to take estrogen supplements or have so much testosterone in your system (steroids are synthetic testosterone), which forces a body to up the estrogen to find a balance.

I can't believe a medical "professional" doesn't know her fucking facts.

We should print out the Erowid and Wikipedia entries on marijuana and throw them all over the place.

I had no info to back it up, she would have probably wanted me to explain my reasoning and i cant say some quote i saw on a PRO-marijuana website, then i would look like the one who didnt know what I was talking about. So i figured i would question her facts, put her on the spot and question her intelligence.
