Plant Facts:

I'm growing a white widow inside a closet in the corner. I have a 400w HPS about 30 inches above the plant. For the first two weeks I kept the light about 20 inches above the top of the plant. I raised the light to hopefully induce some stretching. I've got it planted in sta grow tropical planting soil. I've fertilized twice, the first when it was a week old with 1/4 strenth pete's 24/8/16 and the second two weeks later with 1/2 strenth. the temp has remained between 72-82 with a humitity of 50%. I have a six inch fan blowing fresh air thats being pulled through a dryer hose from the window. The plant is currently 28 days old and is only 7 inches tall. It has 8 sets of leaves, the two newest sets have nine points on them. the plant appears healthy just a little short.

Does anyone know if this plant is growing slowly or is this normal for the conditions described above? I want to start flowering in two weeks, although I also wanted to wait until the plant is 17 inches tall.

Does anyone know if ladybugs are harmful. If so how can I safely get rid of them.

Do you guys think the plant will start to get taller faster as it matures or will i be left with a short plant?
