why dont you look into a 250 hps.
youll end spending the same amount of cash.
fluros are ok but in the end youu enjoy the hps more.Love is patient and kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. Love is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres

for small small plants maybe, but i would suggest a HID, at least like a 150 watt. I use 4oo watters and id still like to go bigger for better buds

your best bet if going cheap like that is buying regular cool white shop lights, either 36" or 48"...and you'll need several. those 'gro-lux' and similar lights don't have the lumens needed for cannabis. plan on at least 80w/sq ft but with flouros i'd go with 100w/sq ft, minimum.

In the end, after buying all the fluorescent lighting I did, I regret not buying a HID. It would have cut my time down drastically, and would have given me a better yield. Now I have a 150 watt HPS floodlight with an awesome fucking aluminum reflector inside of it, plus the ballast and everything's built right into an enclosed case, all the more safe for the plant if I may say so. I get good yields now under it and SCRoG nets. Still, I wish I would have had it from the beginning. It takes up so much less room with better light quality. Sure, you might need a few 6500k/7000k CFLs during vegging for a better spectrum, but it's not necessary. The plant can go it's entire life under it.
